This is an English translation of the Swedish text. If the two versions differ, the Swedish version applies.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Skönhetskollen (skonhetskollen.se) is operated by ViSaeb AB, company registration number 559403-7375, Övre Hägnavägen 10, 436 51 Hovås. ViSaeb AB is the data controller. If you have questions about how we process your data, email info@skonhetskollen.se.

2. What data we process

When you send a booking request via a clinic page

  • name, email address and mobile number
  • requested treatment, practitioner (if you choose one), requested day and time, and when you accepted the terms
  • the status of the request (for example confirmed, declined, cancelled, completed or no-show) and any changes to the time

We do not ask for health data or personal identity numbers, and the booking form has no free-text field. Bear in mind that your choice of treatment in itself shows which treatment you are interested in.

When you use the question feature on a clinic page

The question feature answers with information that the clinic itself has entered. It is rule-based and does not use any external text-analysis service. Your question is stored without email addresses, phone numbers or personal identity numbers. Questions about your own health are not stored – we only store the fact that such a question was asked.

When you contact us or ask for price information

Name, email address, phone number and your message.

If you represent a clinic

When you apply to manage a clinic page: name, role, email, phone, company registration number (optional) and your message. For a clinic account: email address, encrypted password and most recent login.

When you visit the website

  • IP address, page visited and information about the browser in our server logs
  • statistics on events on clinic pages (for example that a booking request has been sent), without name, email, phone, IP address or cookies
  • Google Analytics, but only if you consent to it (see section 9)

3. Why we process the data

  • to handle your booking request, provide the necessary data to the clinic you have chosen (see section 4) and send confirmations
  • to respond to contact and price enquiries
  • to show clinics which questions lack an answer
  • to check that the person applying to manage a clinic page is authorised to represent the clinic
  • for security and to prevent abuse (logs and limits on the number of requests)
  • for statistics

Legal basis

  • Booking requests are processed so that we can take the steps you yourself request when you use the booking service (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
  • Contact and price enquiries are processed so that we can respond to your request (Article 6(1)(b)). If the enquiry does not concern a particular service, we instead process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in being able to respond to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • The question feature, the check of who may manage a clinic page, and security, protection against abuse and technical logs are based on our legitimate interest in giving visitors useful information about the clinics, in ensuring that only authorised representatives can manage a clinic page, and in the service being secure and functioning reliably (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Google Analytics is used only if you have given your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
  • Statistics that do not contain personal data are not covered by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4. Who receives the data

The clinic you want to book with. How your request is handled depends on the clinic, and this is stated in the booking form before you send it.

  • Clinics where Skönhetskollen handles the booking request: we receive your request. The clinic does not automatically receive your contact details via Skönhetskollen. When we handle the request, we may, where necessary, provide the data needed for your particular booking to the clinic you have chosen: your name, mobile number, email address, requested treatment and requested day and time.
  • Clinics connected directly to the booking service: the booking details are sent directly to the clinic: your name, mobile number, email address, requested treatment, practitioner (if you have chosen one) and requested day and time. The clinic only sees requests to its own clinic.

We only disclose the data needed for the booking – not, for example, questions you have asked in the question feature, statistics or information about your contacts with other clinics.

Suppliers that process data on our behalf

  • Contabo GmbH – servers on which the website and the database run
  • Cloudflare – all traffic to the website passes through Cloudflare's network for security and performance
  • our email service provider – to send confirmations and notifications
  • Google – the email service in which we receive notifications about requests; Google Analytics (only after your consent); fonts from Google Fonts, which are fetched when a page loads, meaning that your IP address is sent to Google

We never sell personal data.

5. Where the data is processed

We store and process personal data primarily within Sweden. When a page fetches fonts from Google Fonts, your IP address is sent to Google, and we cannot then guarantee that it is processed only within the EU/EEA.

6. The link to your booking

You receive a personal link where you can view, cancel or change your request. Anyone who has the link can do this, so do not share it. The page does not show your name, your email address or your phone number. The link expires 30 days after the visit, and at the latest when the booking details are anonymised.

7. How long we keep the data

DataRetention period
Booking requests – name, email and phone12 months after the booked or requested time. After that, the data is anonymised and the personal link stops working. Data without name or contact details (treatment, time and status) is kept for statistics.
Applications to manage a clinic page24 months. After that, the applicant's personal data is removed.
Questions in the question feature12 months, after which they are deleted. Answers that the clinic itself has published as frequently asked questions are the clinic's content and are not covered.
Statistics on events on clinic pages (without name, email, phone or IP address)25 months, after which it is deleted.
Server logs14 days

Backups. When data is deleted or anonymised in our database, it remains in backups until the copies are replaced: daily copies are kept for 14 days, copies of the entire server for approximately three months, and copies made manually during updates of the service are deleted no later than 90 days after they were created.

Email. The retention periods above apply to the data in Skönhetskollen's database. Emails about your request that have already been sent – to you, to Skönhetskollen or to the clinic – remain in the respective mailbox and are not affected by the anonymisation.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:

  • be informed of which data we process about you and receive a copy of it
  • have incorrect data rectified
  • have your data erased
  • request that the processing be restricted
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest
  • in certain cases, obtain data that you yourself have provided in a machine-readable format (data portability)

If processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing that has already taken place. Email info@skonhetskollen.se if you wish to exercise your rights. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

9. Cookies and Google Analytics

When you visit the website for the first time, you can choose Accept or Reject. Google Analytics, which we use to see how the website is used, is only loaded if you choose Accept. It then sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, which according to Google's default setting are stored for up to two years. If you choose Reject, Google Analytics is not loaded.

Your choice is saved in your browser. You can change it by deleting cookies and site data for skonhetskollen.se in your browser. The box will then be shown again the next time you visit the website.
