Where the information comes from

Prices and their source

Each price states where it comes from:

• Price from the clinic's published price list – we have read the price from the clinic's own price list. The date of our check is shown next to the price.
• Confirmed by the clinic – the clinic has provided the information to us itself.
• Not checked – we have not checked the price.

Prices change. Always ask the clinic to confirm the price before treatment and ask what is included.

Reviews

We do not republish historically imported review texts. Where there is enough data, we show a summary of recurring themes, with the source. We do not know whether the people who wrote the reviews have visited the clinic. How we handle reviews →

Clinic details

Address, range of treatments, practitioners and information about insurance and IVO come from the clinics' own pages and presentations. It is the clinic making statements about itself. When we have checked a piece of information ourselves, for example IVO registration or liability insurance, this is stated on the clinic's page.

The fact that a business has been notified to IVO means that it is registered with the authority — not that IVO has approved or recommends the clinic.

Known IVO decisions

When a clinic has received a publicly known decision from the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, we report it factually, with a link to the source. We do not add our own judgements about the decision.

We do not assess quality of care

We have neither the professional licence nor the mandate to determine whether a treatment is medically appropriate for you. We show what information is available — the decision is yours.

Paid content is always labelled

Paid placements may occur and are always clearly labelled as Sponsored. Clinics cannot pay to influence the information from our checks, the default sorting or how reviews are summarised.
